This month has been very exciting for us at Point-N-Click. After a two year relationship with a national warranty company known as Prism Pointe, Point-N-Click has been named as their primary source for support in the Rochester and surrounding area. We also held our monthly drawing and the winner is . . . . the envelope please? (read on to see). Lastly, we have been working very hard on expanding the ways that Point-N-Click can provide support in order to lower your overall cost of service and increase uptime.
Prism Pointe has elected Point-N-Click as its primary source for support based on our quick response and experience of our engineers. Point-N-Click has been working with Prism Pointe for over two years however, just recently Prism Pointe acquired the service agreements for CDW and Department of Social Security. Prism Pointe expects approximately 200-300 calls a month from these accounts in our area. When this happens Point-N-Click will hire additional technicians to handle the additional volume. What is really exciting for our existing clients is that Point-N-Click will start offering this same hardware warranty on new and currently installed equipment. Currently Point-N-Click offers a standard manufacturer’s hardware warranty which covers the replacement of defective equipment. It doesn’t cover the labor associated with the repair which has been the responsibility of our customers at our current labor rates. Under this new optional warranty plan a customer can add this to existing equipment which will cover 100% of the costs to replace the part at the customer’s location. My own laptop would be $99/yr. The Point-N-Click current cost of one on-site service call to replace a defective hard drive would be $180/hr.
