Company Case Study:

Purchasing software licenses can be one of the most expensive line items for business owners when it comes to their computer budget.  If the right quantity or type is not purchased it could lead to frustration, or even costly penalties.

Point-N-Click was recently asked to review a quote provided by Dell for software licenses to upgrade their current systems.  The requirement of the client was to purchase enough licenses for their staff to access their two servers from within their company and remote locations, as well as upgrading their workstations with the newest version of Microsoft Office.

The quote provided by Dell was based on the information provided by our client to a representative at Dell who was not familiar with the configuration and infrastructure of our client.  Although the Dell representative attempted to prepare a quote with a proper quantity and type of licenses they had not taken into consideration previous licenses and/or future software needs.  They also didn't consider bundling the purchase with the various Microsoft software licenses or discuss the fact that Microsoft offers a financing option.

Scott Provvidenza has earned the certification known as a Microsoft Licensing Solutions Specialist.  The advice received from Scott allowed our client to purchase the correct licenses and quantities at a reduced rate and provided them an easy way to spread the payments out over time.  In addition we at Point-N-Click gave our client the option to purchase the Microsoft Software Assurance so that they would continue to receive all the newest releases of Microsoft software.

Many customers are unaware that most Microsoft software titles can be purchased in many license variations.  Click here to view the Microsoft Quick Reference Licensing Chart which illustrates these license types.  Savings can start with a purchase of as few as five licenses.  Even if you purchase hardware from another company we at Point-N-Click can still advise and sell your business the right software.
